We are back!
14th-16th of December
We have great news for you. The Berlin Open comes back after a one-year break. Archers from all over the world are invited to experience the largest archery prize tournament in Germany from 14th to 16th December. Under the motto "popular sports meets elite sports" everyone has the chance to participate in the tournament.
New organisation committee
From this year the Berlin Open will be organised by a new team.
With the goal of permanently placing the Berlin Open as a major event in the international archery calendar, representatives from Berlin and Brandenburg clubs will take over the organization and execution of the tournament from this year. We are working hard to make this unique experience happen in the run up to Christmas.
Modern location with lots of space and fantastic atmosphere.
For the first time in the history of Berlin Open, the tournament will not take place at the Olympic Center in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen.
New location is the "Stadthalle Falkensee", which is located just at the edge of Berlin and was officially inaugurated in April 2016. A spacious foyer with 400 m² of exhibition space for dealers and manufacturers connects the 1500 m² sports hall for qualification with the event arena for come-togethers and finals.
Warm-up and massage room, luggage storage and catering complete the locatiob. Detailed information on the competition and the venue will be offered on the newly designed events website.
New circumstances. Same format.
More than 15,000€ price money. More than 600 archers.
The previously known format is retained. On Friday and Saturday, up to 600 participants compete in five qualifying rounds. On Sunday, the final round for the 32 best in the competition classes and the popular "2nd Chance" for those who could not qualify for the finals join. The "2nd Chance" is about valuable prizes, while the finalists shoot for a total of 15,000€ in prize money. New to the program will be the "Come-Together" on Saturday evening, which will not be revealed here.
